Masters 13

A three hour drive from Toulouse across to Pont royal near Marseille saw me arrive for the tournament on Sunday evening, a little earlier than usual, but with two pro ams to play the the time would be spent wisely playing and practicing.

The course was once again prepared to perfection with faultless greens, fairways and teeboxes that you could putt on!!

I made the most of my early morning first round tee off by posting a 4 under 68 which saw me lie in second position, I played very nicely and was one of the best putting rounds of the year, the benign conditions that I played the first twelve holes in was not to be seen the rest of the week with strong winds and a dip in temperature making the remaining three days very tough.

The last three rounds were all very similar, I played very nicely but just hit a few bad shots in each round which were magnified by the wind and led to a few double bogeys, the most pleasing aspect of the week was the patience and determination I showed in very tough conditions to post the best score I could, all this meant a 14th place finish come Sunday evening.

A short flight across to Rome and then a long five hour drive down towards Bari for the last Alps Tour Event of the year which starts Thursday.
