Challenge Tour

After receiving an invite into this event, I was looking forward to playing and felt like my game was in a good place to really compete this week.

I took a risk and decided to take the car for a road trip, and 1,114 miles and 1,484 i pod tunes later i was home!!!

I arrived late on Monday night to my hotel which was 25 miles from the course, so a little far away but cheap and clean!!

The golf course itself was very burnt out and bouncy, add very strong winds and the occasional downpour it would make for a very testing week where controlling your ball flight and adapting to the conditions were essential, it was definitely a week for chipping and putting!!

I played great in the first round and all parts of my game were standing up to the test nicely, I signed for a 2 under par 70 which was comftably in the top 10 after day 1, however that was as good as it got and the rest of the week proved very frustrating and a real struggle and come Sunday it was terrible, the most concerning thing for me was how my game could go from been great on the Thursday to a just terrible on the Sunday and had it not been for 3 holed bunker shots, 2 chip in's and alot of sizable holed par putts it would of been very embarrassing!!!!

So a disappointing 61st place finish was the outcome

A good weeks practice this week to get ready for the Challenge Tour event in Pleanuf, France which starts from the 9th-12th June.
