Tytherington Golf Club

So after playing very well last week again I was looking forward to this week to a golf course I had never played before but had heard some great reports about.

I arrived Sunday for my practice round in torrential rain and wind, another beautiful summers day!

The course itself was again very good, very tight and driving the ball well on the correct sides of the fairway would be essential for good scoring, although not the longest the par 3's were very testing and in very difficult conditions it was sure to be a good test of golf.

I had an early start the first day and it the worst of the conditions I had to play 13 holes in rain and wind, again I struggled a little on the first 6 holes but then played some great stuff to sign for a 69 and the lead after day 1, I had started to miss a few short putts the last couple of rounds so spent an hour after trying to iron some bad faults that were creeping in.

It was great to be in the last group going into the last round and I felt very comfortable with it, I really got unlucky at the first hole and made a double bogey but bounced back with a great birdie at the next, a few short missed putts on the outward 9 put me a few behind going into the back 9, again like the last few weeks I played great coming in and ended up finishing 4th, although disappointed not to win I felt like I didn't do alot wrong and on another day could of quite easily come out with a win.

Its been great to have a some consistency the last 3 weeks and I feel like some great results are just around the corner and with some challenge tour events coming up lets hope that there the ones it all clicks in!
