Alps Tour-Rebetz

So it was off to France for my first real tournament of the year, we decided on a little road trip for the short journey to Paris in the smart car, this backfired pretty quickly when 10 miles from the golf course the cambelt decided to go!!!

We spent the rest of the week trying to find the car and get it fixed, the moral of the story is never let a French mechanic take your car away!!!

The course itself was a very good layout and one I was really looking forward to playing, I felt like I was hitting it good and my preparation had gone well but with so long out you never really know what to expect and how your game will hold up under tournament conditions. The first 9 holes I really did hit the ball good but struggled with the putted and found myself +3 with four 3 putts, the back nine I found myself chasing some flags and got far to aggressive, very basic errors but understandable considering the time out, I finished with +7 but felt like I played far better than that. The aim for the second round was to just to putt and make better shot decisions, I finished +2 for the round but again putted very poorly. I had nine 3 putts in two rounds which says everything really. It was pretty clear what I would be spending the following weeks working on. So a missed cut but I was really pleased with how I hit the ball and how I felt on the course.
