Eagle Tour and Tenerife

I’m writing this post from a sunny Tenerife, again I’ve been very lucky to get away for a few weeks to practice and at the same time stay with a friend who I’ve not seen for a long time so it’s been a very enjoyable week.

Practice has been going great and I’m really seeing the benefit now of some warm weather training following up spain with here. I’ve played three times this week round different courses all offering different examinations of the game which is great, scoring has not been as good as I would of liked but the game is solid and with a good week of putting and scoring clubs Practice I will be ready to continue my season when I get back at the Europro qualifying at Slayley Hall followed by Frilford Heath. I must take this opportunity to thank Kenny for helping me with my entry fee for qualfying because without that I would not be playing and I look forward to seeing him and the other Scottish guys at Montrose later in the year.

I played an Eagle tour event at Stableford Park the week before I came away shooting a 1 over 73 for a T6th finish, difficult windy conditions on a tough track, I played lovely tee to green but struggled with the putter and didn’t hit my scoring clubs close enough which was disappointing as I drove the golf ball great again. I feel in a very good place with the game and if I keep doing what I’m doing it’s going to be a very good season.

Next event is at Slayley Hall on the March 31- 1st April, blog to follow.
