Last few months and plans for next year

So it’s been a good few months since my last blog!! I am currently in Portugal having played 3 Algarve Pro Tour Events which have gone ok with finishes of 16th, 21st and 9th.

I came over here full of confidence after a nice win in the Lindrick Pro an with -5 in testing windy conditions and a -2 in the Winter Series at Hinckley GC both rounds coming with no bogeys. A change of coach a few months ago has really seen an upturn in my game and given me a fresh way of looking at things. I really can’t thank Mark Pinkett enough for his hard work and his enthusiasm and his patience with all my questions and phone calls since I’ve been over here!!

Moving forward to next year it really is an exciting time for me and my biggest opportunity to date, I am going over to China on January 11th to qualify for the PGA China, a breeding ground for the web.com Tour. I’ve been very fortunate to get backing to go and I can’t thank Hannes enough for making this possible.

Again I’ve been very lucky to be able to stay out here in Portugal to practice and prepare for China in the best way possible, I can’t than Alex and his family enough for letting me stay in their apartment and feeding me every night! It’s been great practicing all day and playing with Alex.

So my game at the moment is on track, I’ve struggled at times out here but again it’s been a valuable lesson in managing and understanding my golf swing and what works for me. I feel 100% confident about what works for me now and with Marks help going forward it’s going to be an exciting year.

Once again I must thank just Audi from Lincoln, I can’t express enough thanks for what they have done for me this year.

Market Rasen GC for continuing to let me play and practice.

Franklin Fitch for the opportunity this year to get me back playing tournament golf, I really hope that we can continue in the future and work towards great things.

Mark Pinkett for the last few months and getting me into a position where I can go and compete and enjoying playing again.

JY for continuing to do my stats, kenny for helping me at the start of the year and throughout when nobody else was, I really can’t express enough thanks to him. Paul Farquasin for getting my old beaten body into some sort of shape to play full time golf again.

This might of gone on a bit but without these people I would not be playing golf, if I’ve missed anyone out I sincerely apologise!

I wish you all a great Xmas and hope Santa brings you everything you want!
