Mena Tour Qualifying

So after being in bed for ten days solid after the China nightmare I decided to take the gamble and go play Mena Tour Qualifying.

I’d missed the closing date entry but was fortunate enough that the guys let me enter late. The tour itself is growing so fast and offers now some unbelievable benefits and opportunities going forward with starts in 3 European Tour events including the Dubai imageDesert Classic and the top 5 getting their cards for the 2017 Sunshine Tour so it was worth the gamble me going. Having not played since China or practiced and still feeling ill I flew to Spain a few days before in the hope of getting some sunshine and feeling a bit better. The weather was worse than the UK!! Torrential rain and gale force winds were not ideal. The course itself was virtually unplayable with mud fairways it was like playing out the goalmouth of a Sunday league football pitch!! I managed to get one hole in on the first round before it getting called off for the day, hardly a surprise and probably should of been called a lot sooner. The next two days were just about getting round and getting the job done, I really struggled to get round 18 holes each of the two days and really had nothing left after I’d finished. I managed to get the job done and now have full playing privileges for the 2016 which is very exciting. My intentions were to stay in Spain and get some practice in and play a pro am next week but I flew home straight after as I need to get myself fit and better for the first event in Morocco on March the 22nd.
