France, Jamega Tour and Winter plans

I’m writing this a week after finishing the Jamega Tour events which I’ve really enjoyed playing, it’s a Tour which is run by fantastic people in a great environment to play golf and an incredibly high standard now!

Looking back on the last 3 months and ten events I’ve played I’m really pleased with where I’m at, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been, the swing is becoming more comfortable and more importantly repeatable and the last 3 weeks I’ve seen a real change in my golf game as a whole which sets me up nicely for the coming winter months. I’m going away to Portugal on the 19th Nov for a month to play 4 events out there and get in some practice and gym work. I’m fortunate that I’m looking after a friends house so I just need to find the entry fee money. There’s European Tour starts up for grabs so it’s a great opportunity. As always my attention now is on funding my winter and next season. I’m 100% in a position where I can really kick on if I can continue playing.

A few weeks ago I got invited to France to play a Pro Am in Poitiers, having played there for years on Alps Tour it’s an invititation I quickly accepted! I made some good friends over the years there so it was a nice enjoyable week staying with them, Natalie and I can’t thank Roland and Sandra enough for their hospitality and laughs that week! I played lovely the whole week and managed to shoot some -3’s. The top 4 pros then qualified for a four hole skins game which I also managed to win with a birdie on the 3rd skins hole to win. It was a great trip and a nice confidence boost.

Some more exciting news is that I’ve teamed up with Game Golf as an ambassador, it’s a fantastic way of recording scores, stats and analysing your golf game by just simply tagging your club onto a little device on your belt! Keep following me on social media to see updates of my scores, stats and Tournaments through the Game Golf device. Thanks to Richard and everyone at Game Golf for having me on board.

Another exciting bit of news is that I’ve added Nicola Ellwood to my team, Nicola is a mind performance coach, it’s something I feel that will really help me moving forward. I’ve been compiling thoughts throughout the last few months of playing and Nicola is helping me clarify a few things and sharpening up a few aspects of my thinking process. You can follow Nicola on twitter of Facebook.

As always I need to thank Sam Vickers, without working with Sam over the last 18 months I certainly wouldn’t be playing golf now!

Also to Jim Smith for providing me with some quality tailored trousers, shirts and some banter! A fantastic guy with undoubtedly the best tailored clothes in the country!

Market Rasen Golf club for again providing me with a place to play and practice, it’s an exciting time there at the moment, a new green keeper in Ben who has already done a fantastic job in the month he’s been there!

As always Just Audi! Just quality people who continue to help and support me.

Sean Hawker for his help over the last 6 months in getting the golf swing back to where it needs to be! Steve Williamson too for his knowledge and help from trackman!

This has gone on far too long now but if you’ve made it this far well done!!
